You know it's October when demons, slasher villains and masked killers haunt your "screaming" services.
There's plenty of horror to be streamed this weekend, from franchise installment "Evil Dead Burn" now on HBO Max to college-bound fright fest "Buzzkill" on Tubi. Heck, if you love "M3GAN" but wish it was a tad spicier, the R-rated sci-fi thriller "Soulm8te" on Hulu has what you need. But if you've got the taste for less scares, Netflix offers up the Nate Bargatze comedy "The Breadwinner" and emotional drama "Tyler Perry's Doing Life."
Here are 10 new and notable movies you can stream right now:
'The Breadwinner'

Nate Bargatze does a little bit of everything with this family-friendly comedy, producing, co-writing and starring as a modern "Mr. Mom." Nate (Bargatze) is a successful Toyota salesman who spends more time on the home front with his three kids when his wife (Mandy Moore) gets a sweet "Shark Tank" deal, and chaos ensues.

'Buzzkill'

In the college horror comedy, drunk party girl Nora (Siena Agudong) witnessed her sorority sister get murdered by a masked killer but can't totally recall what happened. While fellow students would rather her stick to water instead of booze, Nora needs to get just as inebriated once again to unlock her memories and reveal the culprit.

'Evil Dead Burn'

"Evil Dead" movies are usually plenty gory but with a dark sense of humor attached. The latest is just relentlessly brutal. After the death of her abusive husband, Alice (Souheila Yacoub) reunites with estranged in-laws to mourn, and things go even more south when a demon begins possessing and killing them in search of an ancient dagger.
Where to watch:HBO Max
'Infirmary'

In the slow-burn found-footage horror flick, Paul Syre plays a former soldier who takes a job as a security guard at an abandoned hospital where terrifying experiments were done on the patients. Suffice it to say, the place is haunted, the guy's first night goes very wrong, and you won't look at a mannequin the same way ever again.
Where to watch:Shudder
'The Love Hypothesis'

Based on Ali Hazelwood's best-selling novel, the rom-com centers on a brilliant doctoral candidate (Lili Reinhart) and a dreaded biology professor (Tom Bateman) – nicknamed "Dr. Evil" by students – who fake a relationship to help each other out. Naturally, they catch feelings for each other but not without a good helping of emotional drama.

'Soulm8te'
Think of this erotic robo-thriller as a more adult version of "M3GAN." After the death of his wife, engineer David (David Rysdahl) uses a high-tech AI sexbot named Sara (Lily Sullivan) for companionship. He fiddles with her programming to make her more "human," leading her to be murderously obsessed with him.

'Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma'

Jane Schoenbrun's meta queer horror fantasy explores themes of sexual awakening while also cleverly deconstructing the slasher film. Hannah Einbinder plays a director tapped to reboot a storied scary-movie franchise, and she strikes up a close relationship with the original movie's now-reclusive "final girl" (Gillian Anderson).
Where to watch:MUBI
'Toy Story 5'

Ragdoll cowgirl Jessie (voiced by Joan Cusack) takes the reins in the newest installment, which smartly brings the franchise into the Internet era. Bonnie gets a tablet computer named Lilypad (Greta Lee), who helps connect the girl with friends but is a smarmy existential threat to Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen) and the gang.

'Tyler Perry's Doing Life'

Tyler Perry's latest drama stars Jay Reeves as Carousel, an incarcerated man who saves pregnant security guard Anika (Naomi Baker) during a violent prison riot. When he gets out, Carousel reconnects and forms a close bond with the single mom and her daughter, though Anika's loved ones don't totally trust him.
Where to watch:Netflix
'Unabomber'
The unconventional biopic depicts two time periods in the life of domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski. Jacob Tremblay plays a teenage Ted in a story line set in the 1950s, as the young Harvard student is manipulated by his professor (Russell Crowe), while in the mid-1990s, Shailene Woodley is the FBI agent leading the hunt for Kaczynski's capture.
