Kristin Cavallari’s Mallorca Photos Spark Austen Kroll Dating Questions After Her ‘Just Friends’ Warning

Kristin Cavallari’s Mallorca vacation photos prompted another round of questions about her relationship with Southern Charm cast member Austen Kroll.

Kroll appeared alongside Cavallari and several friends in one photograph from the trip, leading some Instagram users to ask whether the carousel represented a romantic “hard launch.”

Cavallari had already addressed that possibility in an Instagram Story filmed earlier in the vacation. After turning the camera toward Kroll, she described them as “just friends” and said she wanted to get ahead of the inevitable speculation.

The two reality television personalities have faced dating rumors before, but both have repeatedly described their relationship as a friendship.

The Mallorca Carousel Documented a Group Vacation

Cavallari traveled to the Spanish island with longtime friend and celebrity hairstylist Justin Anderson, Kroll and several other companions. Images documented sightseeing stops, waterfront meals and time spent near the sea. Page Six described the Mallorca visit as part of Cavallari’s European summer vacation with Anderson and other friends.

Kroll appeared close to Cavallari in one of the group photographs, prompting several commenters to question whether the longtime friends had begun dating.  “Look what the cat dragged in,” Cavallari said as Kroll smiled. She then clarified, “Just friends. Gonna get ahead of it now.”

Cavallari and Kroll Have Addressed Dating Rumors Before

Cavallari first connected with Kroll and his Southern Charm castmate Craig Conover while visiting Charleston in 2020. Kroll later said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that Cavallari contacted the two men before the group went to dinner.

They subsequently spent time together in Nashville and continued meeting socially over the following years. Bravo reported that Kroll and Conover also joined Cavallari during the Boston stop of her podcast tour in March 2025.

Cavallari addressed the friendship during a 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, saying that photographs and videos from one of their nights together had been “blown out of proportion.”

Cavallari Recently Said She Was Taking a Break From Dating

Cavallari has also discussed becoming more selective about relationships on her Let’s Be Honest podcast. She said she remained single after several disappointing dating experiences and had intentionally stepped back rather than entering another relationship without a meaningful connection.
