Livvy Dunne says Paul Skenes' date night planning skills are top-notch

PEOPLE caught up with the former college gymnast and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model over Super Bowl weekend, where she gushed about her boyfriend

"He is actually such a lover boy," Dunne tells PEOPLE

Livvy Dunne is praising boyfriend Paul Skenes' date night planning skills!Ahead of Valentine's Day, PEOPLE caught up with Dunne on the red carpet at Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Super Bowl Party on Feb. 7 in San Francisco. While chatting, the influencer shares how she and her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, like to plan their date nights, noting that he's "so good" at surprises.

"Even the other day, I came back from a photo shoot, and he set up flowers and got a charcuterie board because he knew it's just such a long day," she shares."It was actually after shooting my commercial for Fanatics. So he is actually such a lover boy. He really is."Ahead of the official start of the MLB season in about two months, Dunne says she's looking forward to going on "one last good dinner date" with Skenes, before he's swept up in baseball season. "Maybe for Valentine's Day, that would be cool," she shares.

While Skenes' date planning prowess clearly can't be denied, Dunne says she's still unsure about what the couple has lined up for Feb. 14."I think I'm gonna go visit Paul at spring training," Dunne says in a separate interview over Super Bowl weekend in the Bay Area. The Pirates will be in Bradenton, Fla., at LECOM Park for spring training, which officially kicks off on Feb. 21."Maybe I'll try to cook for him for a change," Dunne laughs.Over the summer, Dunne spoke with PEOPLE, revealing the secret to her and Skenes' relationship.

"I think that everything is a two-way road, so being fair," Dunne told PEOPLE at the time.

The 23-year-old TikTok star, whose romance with Skenes, 23, was publicly confirmed in August 2023, also revealed the one rule they follow as a couple that makes their relationship work.

"We don't restrict each other from doing things," she shared, explaining, "I've been in relationships in the past like that — where it's almost like you have a leash on you, you can't do anything."

"But he has a job to do and I have a job to do — I know that's so important for two young kids in a relationship to realize," she continued. "So yeah, we just have a good time and it's a two-way road."

Now that Dunne doesn't have to follow a strict gymnastics schedule, she's been enjoying the flexibility of getting to do things she couldn't while training, like stadium-hopping to support Skenes.

"I'm trying to go to as many baseball games as I can. I really just enjoy watching him and he's always on the go," she said of her boyfriend. "He's an athlete, so I get it. I get the grind."
