Prince Harry has been cautioned that his rumored plans to commemorate his late mother's death could prove to be the "opposite of what she would have wanted".
The Duke of Sussex, who relocated to Britain with his wife and children last month, is believed to be in discussions about producing a documentary marking the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's death next year.
However, the idea allegedly could face a huge blow from his brother, Prince William, and former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond warned that while Harry "has every right to mark the anniversary of his mother's death in any way he sees fit", proceeding with the documentary might further distance the brothers and deepen their rift.

"If Harry does go ahead with a new film, William, I'm sure, will maintain the dignified silence he has kept through all the bitterness of the past few years, including the incendiary claims in Earl Spencer's book," she told The Mirror.
"But I'm afraid it would deepen the rift between the brothers, which is surely the exact opposite of what their mother would have wished."

Ms Bond continued, "It could also make viewing difficult for the Palace, especially after Earl Spencer's broadsides against King Charles and the Palace machine."
Diana's brother has leveled a series of explosive allegations about King Charles in a new memoir detailing her life, including that the monarch stated "we'll forget her soon enough" following his ex-wife's death.

Earl Spencer revealed Harry was "completely fine" with the book, noting that he did "not really" harbor any concerns about writing so frankly about Charles.
A potential documentary produced by Harry would probably be developed through his production company, Archewell Productions, and might premiere on Netflix under an existing first-look agreement.

Ms Bond suggested the project could widen the rift between the brothers, who are believed to have no current communication, by departing from William's commitment that they wouldn't discuss Diana so candidly again after a documentary commemorating 20 years since her passing in 2017.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's relocation to Britain hasn't been without challenges, already featuring a public disagreement with the Palace regarding their standing and a school transfer for their children due to security considerations.
Harry informed Canadian broadcaster CTV that everything is going "great" after completing a skydive outside Toronto to honor a promise made to a 102-year-old WW2 veteran, however.
He mentioned that Archie, seven, and Lilibet, 5, are "happy in school" but didn't provide details on why the family had relocated from the US other than referencing "lots of reasons".
