Prince William made a low-key appearance in London while his wife, Princess Catherine, observed Addiction Awareness Week in Essex.
The Court Circular, the Royal Family's official log of engagements, confirms the Prince of Wales attended the Secret Intelligence Service in London on Thursday, September 24. Later that day, he held a meeting with BBC director-general Matt Brittin. Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales traveled to Garon Park in Southend, Essex, where the Forward Trust charity runs weekly gardening sessions for individuals in recovery from addiction.
Prince William's solo outing came after his reaction to Tom Cruise escorting Kate Middleton to a movie premiere was exposed.

The 44-year-old royal was in London without his wife as his uncle, Charles Spencer, faces criticism over his bombshell memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, which was released on September 22.
While Prince Charles has not publicly commented on the new book, sources say he is 'furious' about the publication, which contains multiple allegations against his father, King Charles III. He and Kate were previously spotted attending the premiere of 'Digger' with Hollywood star Tom Cruise.

While William was on business in London, Catherine listened to powerful testimonies from people overcoming addiction and demonstrated her gardening skills during her visit to a space where those in recovery can connect with nature.
The 44-year-old princess toured the cricket ground, which features a wellbeing walk and gardening space where participants in the Forward Trust's Southend Treatment and Recovery Service (Stars) can stroll and chat, or practice gardening.
Kate spoke with service users, including Steph Sampson, a recovering alcoholic, who shared with the princess how she deceived her children about her drinking during the worst period of her addiction, reports the Express.

The Princess of Wales, who serves as patron of the Forward Trust and scheduled her visit to coincide with Addiction Awareness Week, emphasized that the outdoors is "so vital for healing."
"I should have my husband here, he knows a lot (about gardening), he's really passionate," she told Mr. King, before light-heartedly joking that a beehive experience for children was "right up my street."
The princess spearheaded the inaugural Addiction Awareness Week back in 2021 on behalf of the trust.
For this year's campaign, which runs from Saturday through Friday, the Forward Trust has set an ambitious goal of sparking 17,000 conversations about addiction — a figure that reflects the number of lives claimed by drug or alcohol-related causes across the UK annually.
