Teddi Mellencamp showed off her wig options as her hair continues to grow back following treatment for stage 4 cancer.
“Decisions,” quipped the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 45, as she shared four wig options on her Instagram stories Aug. 6, before showing herself in a long blonde wig and cream-colored L.A. Dodgers baseball cap. “Went with Old Faithful,” she explained, while combing the wig with her fingers.
She shared that she’d picked up the wig from L.A. shop The Wig Fairy —before tagging her hairdresser, Vanessa Zamora Smith in a “reveal” video where she rips off the wig to show off her real hair. Mellencamp cheekily added the soundtrack, “Almost Paradise” — aka, the “Love Theme from Footloose” — to the clip.

Mellencamp was first diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma — the deadliest form of skin cancer — in 2022. She underwent 17 surgeries for the invasive skin cancer, but in April 2025, Mellencamp shared that it had metastasized to her brain and lungs. She underwent brain surgery to remove the tumors, and has been undergoing regular immunotherapy treatments following the surgery.
Though in October 2025, doctors told her she had “no trace of cancer,” she said she’s still “not considered in remission.”
