The Tony Awards 2026 is all set to take place on June 7. Alecia Beth Moore, popularly known as Pink, is gearing up to host the awards ceremony. While she is excited about the opportunity, she is also reportedly “nervous” about it.
On Thursday, CBS and Tony Award Productions announced that the “So What” hitmaker will be hosting the 79th Tony Awards. Later, Pink shared a statement, calling the chance to serve as host of such a big event an “honor.”

Alecia Beth Moore, popularly known as Pink, is very excited to host the 79th Tony Awards 2026. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, CBS and Tony Award Productions made the announcement on Thursday, confirming that the singer will host the star-studded night.
The “Who Knew” hitmaker then shared a statement expressing her excitement about hosting such a grand event.

She said, “It is the honor of an entire lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest working people in showbiz.” Talking about Broadway, she mentioned how it shaped her life. She further expressed that it is a highly supportive community that makes everyone feel included. Pink added that the Broadway community is “full of talent and love.”
“These people give magic every single day, and I cannot wait to celebrate them with the entire world,” her statement further read. She also revealed her reaction when she was asked to host the awards. She shared that she thought she would have to take permission from her daughter when she was approached for the role.
The statement further read, “But when I asked my daughter, she was really excited about being able to have a ticket to go to the Tonys, so I’m hosting the Tonys and I’m really, really excited and very nervous because that girl is a tough crowd!”
