High Potential's usual Tuesday release schedule will return with a new episode on Tuesday, March 3

High Potential season 2 is far from over, but viewers will have to wait a bit longer for new episodes.

The ABC crime comedy premiered its second season in September 2025, but it took a hiatus around the holidays before returning in early January. After a few episodes in a row, High Potential is taking another few weeks off in February.

High Potential follows Morgan Gillory (Kaitlin Olson), a cleaner and single mom who has a knack for solving murders for the Los Angeles Police Department in her free time. Along the way, she's developed close relationships with other members of the LAPD — including Detective Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata).

Despite not being able to watch new episodes for a few weeks, viewers can stream season 1 and older episodes of season 2 on Hulu. The 13th episode is slated to return to ABC in its regularly scheduled Tuesday timeslot on March 3.

Here's everything to know about when High Potential season 2 will come back.

High Potential season 2 premiered on Sept. 16, 2025, and aired new episodes weekly every Tuesday after.

However, High Potential took a holiday hiatus after Oct. 28. The second season returned after the holidays on Jan. 6, and also debuted in a new timeslot of 9 p.m. ET, compared to the previous 10 p.m.

Season 2 has skyrocketed in viewership across ABC and its partner streamers. The Jan. 20 episode debuted the show's biggest seven-day audience with nearly 13 million viewers in the first week, per The Hollywood Reporter. The episode marked the best seven-day performance for an ABC series since a Grey's Anatomy episode in 2020.

High Potential did not air a new episode on Tuesday, Feb. 10. Prior to that, the 12th episode, titled "The Faust and the Furious," premiered on Feb. 3.

Instead of sharing a new episode, ABC aired a rerun during its usual time slot of 9 p.m. ET on Feb. 10, and will continue featuring season 2 reruns.

ABC has not officially explained why the show is on a break, but the High Potential social media pages have been updating viewers with scheduling changes. The hiatus comes in the midst of the highly-anticipated 2026 Winter Olympics, which is airing on NBC and streaming on Peacock, and taking place from Feb. 6 to Feb. 22.

In addition, President Donald Trump has scheduled his first State of the Union address of 2026 for Tuesday, Feb. 24. Major broadcast networks — including ABC — have previously aired the event live.

Unfortunately for viewers waiting on the edge of their seats for the next episode, High Potential won't return with a new episode until Tuesday, March 3, at 9 p.m. ET. ABC has not announced the 13th episode's title or synopsis.

Fans shouldn't be totally discouraged, though, since season 2 will include a total of 18 episodes — five more than the first.
